My name is Kate, but those in the know {wink wink} call me Akte. I am a Californian girl with straight-As and a view of San Francisco from my bedroom.
I play favorites and try find the deeper meaning in simple things . . .
Autumn is my favorite season, and rainy days make me happy.
I love snow and hot chocolate with marshmallows, creme brulees and shirley temples, and I dream sweeter when I'm sleeping under the moonlight.
I love to play the trumpet and to have long conversations that I don't have to try for.
My dream is to study psychology on the "East Coast" and to travel the world.
I like smiles and laughter and trees, imagination and eyes and the smell of freshly cut grass.
My favorite trait in a guy is intelligence, but books were my first love (and still are).
The human brain fascinates me, and human stupidity never ceases to amaze me.
I am a pragmatic optimist, and bubbles make me smile.
I cry when I read a good book, laugh at the littlest things, and rarely get mad.
My favorite Disney princess is Belle, and my favorite animals are elephants.
I think old oak trees are beautiful and palm trees are ugly.
People who inspire me are JK Rowling, Lemony Snicket, and my parents.
I live to dream and love to learn and hope to be a positive force in the world.
